Role Overview
Part-time DevOps Engineer (10-20 hours/week) to manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure, maintain high availability, standardise deployments, and optimise costs. Experience with AWS, GCP, and on-premise environments required.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain 99.9%+ uptime across cloud and on-premise servers with comprehensive monitoring and alerting
- Deployment Standardisation: Implement standardised CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform/CloudFormation
- Cost Optimisation: Analyse and optimise cloud spending through rightsizing, auto-scaling, and resource management
- Client Support: Handle client deployments, troubleshooting, and technical documentation with fast turnaround
- AI Workload Optimisation: Optimise AWS Lambda functions and CloudFront for AI workloads performance and cost efficiency
- Infrastructure Recommendations: Evaluate current architecture and propose improvements for scalability and efficiency
- Technical Requirements
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, S3, RDS, IAM), GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage), On-premise Linux administration DevOps Stack: CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), IaC (Terraform, Ansible), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) Programming: Python, Bash scripting, Git version control, API integrations Security: Best practices implementation, secrets management, network security
- Experience Required
- 3-5 years DevOps/Infrastructure engineering
- Experience with AWS, GCP, and on-premise environments
- Serverless architecture experience (Lambda, Cloud Functions)
- AI/ML workload infrastructure knowledge
- Client-facing technical support experience
