In a collaborative effort with the Embassy of Finland and Kone, the Finnish Business Council (FBC) recently hosted an exclusive event addressing the crucial theme of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks in today’s Asia-Pacific business landscape.
The event, titled ‘ESG Risks in Today’s APAC Business Environment,’ aimed to shed light on the evolving considerations that have become imperative for businesses across the region. Attendees had the opportunity to delve into the challenges and opportunities associated with ESG in a dynamic and ever-changing business environment.
The event was hosted by Erica de Wit, Co-Founder of GreenFi & Secretary of FBC. The distinguished panel included Dr. Darian McBain, Head of ESG AI of GreenFi, CEO of OCSO and former Chief Sustainability Officer of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS); Esther An, Chief Sustainability Officer of CDL; Olli-Pekka Varis, VP of Modernization at KONE, and Ee-Ching Tay, Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking, Southeast Asia at Barclays. These experts shared their extensive knowledge and experiences in driving sustainability initiatives, offering insights into the intricate dynamics of ESG in the APAC context.

Following the panel discussion, attendees had the opportunity to network with fellow participants, including Finnish Ambassador-designate Juha Markkanen and members of the Finnish Business Council.
